What is THE Bridge Retreat?

WE KNOW IT’S HARD TO FIND CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY IN COLLEGE.

The Bridge Retreat is a 3 day, 2 night retreat for incoming first-year students to find their people at the College of Charleston. We want to provide students with the opportunity to connect with the local body through campus ministries, churches, mentors, and introducing them to other Christians. During the retreat, there will be speaker sessions, worship, small group time, and fun games + activities. We will host a ministry fair where campers can get plugged in before they even step foot on campus. The Bridge Retreat is an awesome way to make lasting friends and meaningful connections. Let’s find your place at CofC!

What to expect

During The Bridge Retreat, you can expect to make close connections with other freshmen and upperclassmen who have been in your shoes, as well as meet leaders in ministries from around the Charleston area. On a typical day, we will hear teachings from local pastors, participate in corporate worship, discus the messages we hear in small groups, and play camp-wide games on teams.

In addition, we will hold a ministry fair for you to interact face to face with staff, pastors, and students from the local churches and campus ministries. This allows campers to get a glimpse of how God is moving both on campus and in the community. The Bridge Retreat is THE way to start off college - we hope to see you at this year’s retreat!

Our Vision

Psalm 25:4-5

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”
